All About Golden Pothos

Despite being a certified garden designer and plant enthusiast, I don’t have many indoor plants. Many people believe that my interior space will match my outdoor space. It is lush, green, filled with climbing and cascading greenery, and decorated with large potted centerpieces.

Golden Pothos is a tropical forest plant that can be grown indoors in colder climates. It's so happy inside that I would nominate it for the Easiest Houseplant Ever award. Pothos has a vine-like, trailing habit and attractive, heart-shaped leaves. It can also thrive in low light and humidity and can withstand neglect for long periods. This makes it the ideal plant for busy people who still want to enjoy the beauty of houseplants.

Pothos is also known by many other names such as hunter's robe and ivy money plant. It's also known as devil's Ivy because it is nearly impossible to kill and can survive in darkness.

Pothos can reach incredible heights in tropical forests and can climb up and down trees to take over entire landscapes. Indoor pothos are smaller versions. You may be able to grow pothos outdoors in USDA zones 10 or 11.

Keep it alive

Pothos can be grown indoors in bright but not direct sunlight, but it will also tolerate low-light conditions.

Pothos prefers its soil to dry between waterings so it will accept erratic watering care. Pothos is not a fan of soggy roots.

Any well-draining, potting soil is suitable for growing.

Pothos is a light-feeding plant, but you can provide it with a balanced fertilizer that's specifically for houseplants.
