Maritime panic action movie, featuring a rescue diver team member in Japan
Coast Guard, his buddies and his girlfriend. In a huge ferry boat wrecked
near a port in southern Japan, Senzaki has to fight for the live of confined
passengers, his buddy and himself, and the only hope to save them is the
trusting ties between himself and people around him. A straight-forward
hero story with a sweet icing of love, but has a charm of human physicality,
as all the diving sequences were done by the real actors after rigorous
trainings.
"Umizaru 2" recorded the biggest box office gross among live-action
films in the first half of 2006 in Japan.
