"Suspect" is the second spin-off movie of the mega-hit "Bayside
Shakedown" series, after "Negotiator Mashita Masayoshi".
Muroi is an executive officer in Tokyo Police, highly trusted by the members
of the main characters of the "Bayside Shakedown" series. But
one day, Muroi gets arrested in relation to the murder case he worked on
in the past. Behind the incident, there was a conspiracy within the police
organization, due to the conflict between the National Police Agency and
Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. On the course, Muroi's hidden past
events were revealed, and the only attorney who would dare to support Muroi
was a young unexperienced female lawyer Obara.
A big hit in 2005 to gross more than 3 billion yen, as the 4th movie of
the mega hit series, but this one is much more serious, dark and old-fashioned
taste compared to the others in the series.
